Tempus Fugitives focus on the study of the 16th century North Italian martial systems which were so popular in London during the Elizabethan period. These methods of combat originated in the 15th century, but were not codified until the second quarter of the 16th.

Stage Combat Club THS

The stage combat club at THS took off with interest across KS3, the first two terms focused primarily of unarmed combat were students learned the basics to create the illusion of violence on stage.

I was thoroughly impressed with how keen and quick the students took to the work. They began to devise their own scenes including their own fight choreography.

To continue the progress, I took more courses with the BASSC and BADC, gained further experience with different weapon systems and I have now introduced Quarterstaff and Rapier and Dagger sword play to the after school club.
