Term 3 - Historical events: Battle re-enactment

 

This years battle re-enactment will be focused on the Viking invasion of Britain in the 8th century AD. Students will recreate historical events through the use of devising, they will choreograph fight phrases and develop characterisation through the use of physicality and voice. Characters included: key historical figures - Athlestan the First King of England and Ragnar Lothbrok. This Term will end in a public performance and entry into the Fuse International Arts Festival in Kingston. This fringe festival will give students the opportunity to live breathe and seek theatre in the local community and network with other arts enthusiasts.
